The 7 Great Inventions of the Modern Industrial Age is a new play with music, written by Paul Bissett & Catherine Prosser and composed by Sally Greenaway. In 2015, Sally was awarded the inaugural Merlyn Myer Composing Women’s Commission, initiated by the Merlyn Myer Fund and co-developed with Melbourne Recital Centre. Since then, The 7 Great Inventions has played seasons at Melbourne Recital Centre (2016) and The Street, Canberra (2017). In 2017, Sally won the APRA Art Music Award 'Instrumental Work of the Year' State Award for her music score for The 7 Great Inventions. In 2020, The 7 Great Inventions will undergo further development, funded by the Adelaide Festival Centre inSPACE Development Award, awarded at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe.
