Mark Oakley | Lighting Designer and Technical Manager
Mark is 6’5 and is not British. Mark has a wide range of experience in the industry including working with various production companies across Adelaide, most prominently Mosaic Audio Visual. His work with Mosaic enables him to be involved with many theatrical, corporate and concert style shows with standouts being Cloudstreet (2016), Tommy (2015) and Otello (2014). Mark has also spent several years working at Co Opera, and toured several successful shows interstate Madame Butterfly (2014), Cosi Fan Tutte (2015), Magic Flute (2015). Other independent highlights include designing lighting for the Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Guys and Dolls (2015) Sound of Music (2014) and the South Australian Premiere of Legally Blonde (2014) for the Hills Musical Society. Mark graduated from Brighton Secondary School in 2011, and has since kept in contact with the Performing Arts Centre becoming a house technician. Through his connections with the school he was a founding member and technical director for Reverb Theatre Group Nightfall with Edgar Allen Poe (2013), Peter Pan (2014) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2015) and has also designed lighting for the school’s external dance company Lift Dance Theatre Carapace (2015-16) and Etre (2016-17). His most recent engagement was through AJZ Productions working at their Adelaide Fringe Venue Live at Channel 9 Tandanya and was responsible for 16 shows that passed through the venue over the 4-week festival.
