Mark Oakley

Mark Oakley is 6’5 and is not British. He is a lighting designer and touring technical manager working in Adelaide and around the world.

His most recent lighting designs include Claire Della and the Moon (Madness of Two, 2020), Limit (State Theatre Company of South Australia’s Umbrella Production, 2019), Hairspray Jnr (Adelaide Youth Theatre, 2019), 30,000 Notes (Under The Microscope, 2019), The Executioners (Anya Anastasia, 2018/19), Phantom of the Opera (GASSA, 2018), Shrek (Adelaide Youth Theatre, 2018), and Scarred For Life (Under The Microscope, 2017/2018). 

He recently was the manager of the set electrics building team at Woodford Folk Festival as well as the technical manager of Slingsby Theatre Company (The Young King, Emil and The Detectives) where he has spent numerous years touring Australia and the world. In 2018, Mark was the resident lighting designer for The Lab at Queens Theatre. He has also spent several years working at Co Opera during which designed and toured several shows interstate including Cosi Fan Tutte (2015) and The Magic Flute (2015).
